MS Outlook Integration

In order to set up the two-way event synchronization between the portal calendars (personal, corporate etc.) and the ones of MS Outlook, you have to export the calendar(s) from the Intranet Portal:

  • open the page showing a calendar you want to export. Select Connect to Outlook in the calendar menu:
  • now, MS Outlook would start showing the following warning:
  • click Yes to install the calendar, or Advanced if you want to configure the parameters:
  • type the calendar description and click OK.

Now you can see the events of the calendar you have just added:

You can export multiple calendars analogously. If you select to show all of them on the same grid, the view will be similar to the one of the Portal:

Adding An Event

Whenever you add a new event to the MS Outlook calendar, it becomes available in the portal calendar momentaryly.

Choose the required date to which you want to add an event and double-click it. The event creation window will bring up:

  • fill in the fields: Subject, Start time, End time and Description.
  • click Save and Close.

The new event will appear in the MS Outlook calendar:

After the event has been added, the MS Outlook calendar will be synchronized with the portal calendar automatically. The synchronization progress will show in the bottom right of the screen:

Your event is now available in the portal calendar:

Editing An Event

You can edit your events in MS Outlook as well as using the Portal interface:

  • find the required event in the portal calendar and click . Edit the event. Click Save.
  • in MS Outlook, double-click the event you want to modify. Edit the event. Click Save and Close.
Deleting An Event

To delete an event:

  • in the portal: click in the row shwoing the unwanted event.
  • in MS Outlook: select the event and click Delete in its action menu.

The MS Outlook and the portal calendars will synchronize automatically right after you edit or delete an event.
